Master Trades Supports Local School
Last Saturday Master Trades swapped their shovels and trowels for tongs and aprons as they donated a day of barbecuing for Oldfield Park Infants School P.T.A Christmas Fayre.
Naomi, who is the Chair of the P.T.A for the second year running, organised the fundraising event and asked Oliver if he would donate his time again to run the barbecue.
Not only did Oliver oblige, but he also bought all the sausages and pork, to provide a delicious barbecue of hot dogs and hot pork baps with apple sauce.
This is the second Christmas Fayre that Master Trades have supported and Naomi commented “it is a great opportunity to interact with the local community and also support our son’s school. The children are our future and we need to invest in them to sustain the future of our country’s growth”
The overall fayre was a massive hit, particularly the barbecue, practically doubling what they took last year.
Naomi said “The PTA decided to do things a little differently this year, and the results were staggering. Raising nearly £3000.00 for the school.”
The money raised provides additional funding for school trips, extra curricular activities, Christmas Presents, books and particular learning resources that they would otherwise not receive.
